Juicing and Ketosis: Tips and Tricks

Jordyn Stoneberg

You've likely heard of the keto diet by now, with its continuous chart-topping recipes in today’s diet scene. If you are at all interested in the keto diet, it will be helpful to know what to eat and what to avoid. Additionally, you should know what you need to do to stay on track and maintain the metabolic state known as ketosis. Why do you want your body to be in ketosis? It's because of the health and weight benefits. When our bodies are in ketosis, we start to burn fat for energy instead of glucose, which leads to weight-loss and is the main goal of the keto diet.

While following the keto diet, it is important to understand the way that it works. If you are not already aware, the keto diet is all about increasing your fat intake while cutting out a big portion of your carbohydrates. There are many foods that should take the key role in your diet, and foods you should avoid to maximize the benefits.

One common question many keto dieters ask is if you can juice and remain in ketosis. Unfortunately, because most juices contain high amounts of sugar from fruit, juicing is not recommended unless you focus mainly on vegetables. If you are insistent on juicing, you do have some options. Try some of these recipes to get your juice fix on and stay in ketosis with no stress.
